Hi, I’m Teri! Welcome to my blog!
I am a life-long worrier. I admit it openly and freely.
But, why write a blog about worry?
I have been on a journey of self-discovery for many years now. I have had my share of judgmental criticism from others as well as from myself. If I had a dime for every time someone told me not to worry I would have a big, huge pile of money in the bank.
I used worry-language all throughout the years we raised our son and he grew up just fine despite his mother. I have worried over my husband, family, friends, and airplane pilots.
I have tried all kinds of remedies and strategies to stop worrying: I’ve read books, made lists, kept journals, dissected my dreams, and drank endless cups of herbal tea.
Then it occurred to me…..
… what if my tendency to worry is not a huge personality defect?… what if I acknowledge it and accept it?… what if I show myself some respect and compassion and treat myself with some love?
This is the journey I am now on and I am so excited to continue seeking out understanding and love and I invite you to join me.
